Disabled Parking Bays Consultation

Green Spice Restaurant & LOAF cafe, Sandgate High StreetKent County Council / Shepway District Council are "consulting" on a series of new Disabled Parking bays across Shepway, including two in Sandgate and one in Cheriton.

Although the bays have been installed following the request of a specific resident in each case, the bay is not for the applicant's exclusive use. Anyone with a valid badge will be able to park in a permanent disabled bay.

Order 2016 (Amendment No. 9)

Notice is hereby given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL proposes the above Order under Sections 1, 2, 32 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the chief officer of police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act:

The Order proposes to install disabled persons parking places in the following streets: -

  • 41 Royal Military Avenue, Folkestone;
  • 42 Bradstone Road, Folkestone;
  • 46 Marshall Street, Folkestone;
  • 47a Enbrook, Folkestone;
  • 12 Harvey Street, Folkestone;
  • 64 Dymchurch Road, Hythe;
  • 61b Sandgate High Street, Folkestone;
  • Gladstone Road, Folkestone outside 44, Gladstone Road;
  • Folkestone outside of Flats 1 to 9, Tolputt Court.

This Order also proposes to revoke disabled persons' parking places from the following streets: -

  • Flat1, 80 Broadmead Road, Folkestone;' 2 Bournemouth Gardens, Folkestone;
  • Flat 1, 29 Grimston Gardens, Folkestone

A copy of the proposed Order, a copy of any Orders which may be amended by it, and a statement of the council's reasons for proposing it can be inspected during normal office hours at the Civic Centre, Castle Hill Avenue, Folkestone, CT20 2QY, during normal office hours.

We must receive any representations before 5pm on Friday 18th November 2016 for them to be considered. For legal reasons we cannot accept representations over the phone or in person.
